He's 5!!

And just like that, Anderson turned 5!  The past 5 years have flown by...I can't imagine our life without this kid.

What a sweet little crazy ball of energy and laughs!  He loves Jesus, his family and superman.  He is small, but strong.  He is smart and witty.  He gives great hugs and tells us all the time how much he loves us.  He cannot wait for kindergarten.  I love that little guy (and his big brothers and daddy) so much I think my heart may burst sometimes.

We celebrated his birthday with a big water slide, family and friends from school.  He was so excited for his friends to arrive.

Looks like he loved his UA Superman shirt...Good thing he got a few other superman shirts because that's all he wears!

Love Owen's expression here.  Owen loves giving gifts and was so excited for Anderson to open what he picked out for him...the movie Frozen.

 The awesome waterslide.

We had to go inside to do the candles...the wind kept blowing them out outside.

What a great day celebrating our big 5 year old!

Preschool Graduation

May 22 brought Anderson's graduation from preschool.

He had a great year and we will miss his teachers.  Mrs. Judith teared up a little when she saw his shirt for the last day.  She was a great fit for him and Mrs. Rebecca could not have been sweeter.  Our church theme this year is I love my church.  I used the theme shirts to personalize the shirt for his teachers.

He was excited to graduate.  He's watch his big brother do it the past 2 years and was ready it was finally his turn.  He was the last of the 66 names to be called.  And when he grows up, he wants to be 'a working man'.
He got to sit next to his best buddy Mason during the ceremony and was very well behaved.  We had some concerns when we saw the program and that they'd be next to each other the whole time.

 His first 'girlfriend'
And, according to him, his future wife.  She was Mary in the Christmas program and he has been very gentlemanly toward her since.  He loves Palmer and Madalyn!
 His cute handprint art.

Rainy Fun

I surprised Owen at school with a cookie cake to celebrate his birthday and then checked him out of school for the afternoon using the half-day pass he earned for his summer work last year and we picked Anderson up early too.

It was quite a rainy afternoon and they had a ball in the swimming ditch!

Celebrating Will-Sir

Some pictures from cousin Will's 6th birthday party.

Owen and Julia playing Air Hockey.  I played with Owen first and he was really catching on.  Julia took over for me and Owen had a come from behind victory!
 A hot sweaty mess!

 Anderson and the birthday boy.
After the party, we made a stop by the airport observation deck...we had a great day and saw several takeoffs and landings.

Mother's Day

This year, Mother's Day was double holiday at our house since it was also my birthday.  We started celebrating with a Muffins with Mom celebration in Owen's class.  They read us a poem and then served our muffins, strawberries and juice.  They also gave us a picture and picture frame.

Anderson filled out this questionnaire...

And this is the note that was on the bag of my present...
 What a neat idea!
