Christmas Parade

We took the kids to our city's Christmas's about 2 hours long.  Owen loved it and Anderson loved the first half and then decided he was done.

Patiently waiting for it to start...we got there an hour prior to start time and were lucky to find a little spot on the front row for the kids.  By the time the parade started, it was 4-5 deep behind us.  The estimate on the news was that 50,000 people turned out.
The marching band from Owen's school.
Hugs from one of the many dressed up characters.

 A fun hot dog float.
 Star wars characters...

 Very cool jet flyover
Hard to tell, but that is the Grinch.  He sadly didn't look our way.

A great way to kick off the holiday season!

Thanksgiving Helpers

These cute little guys helped me with the 10 bundles of collards we made for Aaron's family gathering.  Owen was eating them raw and told me they were delicious!

They must have gotten all worn out...they relaxed with daddy watching 'the real grinch.'

Happy Thanksgiving!

We have so much to be thankful for and hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving Day.

Below are some pictures from Anderson's final preschool Thanksgiving program.

He thought he was a turkey because he had feathers on his head...but he is a mighty cute Native American dressed in brown who came to visit Plymouth town.

Few Pics and funnies

A local fire hydrant dressed as a minion.  (Thanks for the tip, Heather!)
Love to see the kids after a trip to the library.  Anderson created a cozy reading nook.

Owen got to drive home from a neighbors house.

Owen decided that his gangster name is Snowball.
Anderson said he is going to have 4 kids and their names will be Sauce, Palmer, Girlie and Sockpole.
Owen was singing a song and one of the lines is 'drinking that ice cold beer.'  I told him not to sing it at school and he innocently said, 'Do they not like root beer at my school?'

We had one weekend free between the end of soccer and the start of basketball.  Owen is much improved in basketball this year.  This is a developmental league that focuses on teaching the kids skills and rules.  He will also be playing in a local church league the first of the year where he will get to play games.

Field Trip

After the program, the kids all changed clothes and had a field trip to a nearby skating rink.  This was our kids first time skating.  Owen was very persistent and improved quite a bit.  The first 45 minutes or so that we were there, his classmates and families were the only people there.  They allowed us non-skaters onto the rink to assist our rookies.

We had such a fun time!

 One of many tumbles!

The ride home...they NEVER sleep in the car.  I'd say skating wore them out!

The First Thanksgiving

Owen's first grade program was a presentation of the first Thanksgiving.  He was a super cute pilgrim.

Here he is on the of his lines was, 'I am so tired of this saltwater.  I wish I didn't have to wash my hands and take a bath in it. My skin and my clothes are itchy because of the saltwater.'

At the big table for the first Thanksgiving with his new Native American friends.
They sang, 'We Gather Together' and recited Psalm 105.  We heard the song more times than I can count in the days leading up to the program.
