Today was Anderson's first day in Pre-K.  He has not been very excited about returning to school, but last night the excitement hit.  We had his open house/meet the teacher and he walked in like he owned the place.

He was up at 6:00 this morning and did his 'stuff' all by himself...I'm usually dragging him out of the bed at 6:30 and wrestling him to get dressed and moving with his morning routine.  He kept telling me how excited he was to go to school.

He looked so cute walking in!

He was so excited to see his friends and he unpacked his bag all by himself.  He had a great day and was all excited to tell me that he didn't even get in trouble today!  I asked him what his favorite part was and he said, 'Everything!'

I'm excited about his teacher.  I think her personality will be a great fit for him.

6 Year Stats

Owen visited Dr. B today and he checked out great!  Of course any checkup with no shots is a great checkup!

He is 4 feet tall and 58 pounds...about the 90th percentile for both!

And a little funny he recently said...

Aaron splattered some paint on his shorts and asked if I could get it out.  I told him I'd try...and then Owen said, "Just use All."  I asked him what he said and he said, "All can get any stains out."  I asked where he said that and he said, "On a commercial."

First Grade!

Summer vacation has come to a close and Owen has started First Grade!!!

He was excited to go back to school and it was so much fun to see him and his classmates so excited to see each other.

A few pics from this morning...

Here's to a great year in first grade!!

Editing the post to say that Owen had a great first day.  I just tucked him in to bed and as I was leaving he said, 'I love first grade!'  It was so fun to see him and his friends reunite this morning.  I got a chance to meet with his teacher this afternoon and think she is going to be a great teacher for him.

Fort Progress

The fort is coming along nicely.  The kids are already enjoying it.

 And a few funnies...

You know your kids need some time apart when they are fussing at the other in their sleep.  Anderson was sound asleep at the foot of his bed and Aaron went to move him.  As soon as Aaron picked him up, he said, 'No, Owen no!'

Anderson has said a couple of times now (instead of going to town in relation to eating), he is hungry to town.
